निवडणूक आयोगाचा जनतेच्या मतांवर दरोडा

मुंबई, दि. २८ नोव्हेंबर २०२४ : महाराष्ट्र विधानसभेच्या निवडणुकीत मतांच्या टक्केवारीतील तफावत गंभीर व चिंताजनक प्रकार आहे. निवडणूक आयोगाने जाहीर केलेल्या आकडेवारीनुसार मतदानाच्या दिवशी संध्याकाळी ५ वाजता ५८.२२ टक्के मतदान झाले, त्याच रात्री ११.३० वाजता ते ६५.०२ टक्के तर दुसऱ्या दिवशी २१ नोव्हेंबर रोजी हेच मतदान ६६.०५ टक्के झाल्याचे सांगितले, यात एकूण ७.८३ टक्के वाढ झाल्याचे स्पष्ट दिसत आहे. तब्बल ७६ लाख मतांची ही वाढ असून मतदानाचा टक्का कसा वाढला? असा प्रश्न उपस्थित करून निवडणूक आयोगाने जिथे मतदान वाढले त्या केंद्राचे व्हिडीओ फुटेज जाहीर करावे. निवडणूक आयोगाने जनतेच्या मतांवर दरोडा टाकला आहे, असे महाराष्ट्र प्रदेश काँग्रेस कमिटीचे अध्यक्ष नाना पटोले म्हणाले.

काँग्रेस प्रदेशाध्यक्ष नाना पटोले यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली व प्रमुख नेत्यांच्या उपस्थितीत काँग्रेस पक्षाच्या विधानसभा उमेदवारांची बैठक टिळक भवन येथे पार पडली. या बैठकीला माजी मंत्री बाळासाहेब थोरात, प्रदेश कार्याध्यक्ष व CWC सदस्य नसीम खान, माजी मंत्री के. सी. पाडवी, यशोमती ठाकूर डॉ. विश्वजीत कदम, आ. भाई जगताप, प्रदेश उपाध्यक्ष संघटन व प्रशासन नाना गावंडे आदी उपस्थित होते.

यावेळी पत्रकार परिषदेत बोलताना नाना पटोले यांनी मतांची आकडेवारी देत निवडणूक आयोगाच्या भोंगळ कारभारावार चिन्ह उपस्थित केले, ते पुढे म्हणाले की, मतदानाच्या दिवशी ५ वाजल्यानंतर मतांची टक्केवारी वाढल्याचे प्रमाण पाहता मतदारकेंद्रावर लांबच लांब रांगा लागल्या असल्या पाहिजेत. राज्यातील किती मतदार संघावर अशा रांगा लागल्या होत्या ते निवडणूक आयोगाने पुराव्यासह दाखवावे. निवडणूक आयोगाने मतदान केंद्रावर CCTV लावले होते, त्याचे चित्रिकरण दाखवावे. मतदान झाल्यानंतर निवडणूक आयोग पत्रकार परिषद घेऊन माहिती देत असते, यावेळी आयागाने पत्रकार परिषद का घेतली नाही. वाढीव मतांबद्दल देशभरातील विविध क्षेत्रातील तज्ञ व्यक्तींनी शंका उपस्थित केल्या आहेत. यामुळे निवडणूक आयोगाच्या विश्वासार्हतेवर प्रश्नचिन्ह उपस्थित होत असून राजकीय पक्ष, उमेदवार वा इतरांनी उपस्थित केलेल्या प्रश्नांना उत्तरे देणे निवडणूक आयोगाचे कर्तव्य आहे.

काँग्रेस पक्षाचा पराभव झाला म्हणून नाही तर लोकशाही व संविधानाच्या रक्षणासाठी काँग्रेस पक्ष मतदानाच्या टक्केवारीतील तफावतीचा मुद्दा लावून धरत आहे. भारतीय जनता पक्ष व निवडणूक आयोगाने संगनमताने लोकशाहीची क्रूर थट्टा केली आहे. विधानसभा निवडणुकीतील मतांच्या तफावतीसंदर्भात काँग्रेस पक्ष न्यायालयीन व रस्त्यावरची लढाई लढेल, असा इशाराही नाना पटोले यांनी दिला आहे.

The discrepancy in the voting percentage during the Maharashtra Assembly elections is a serious and alarming matter. According to data released by the Election Commission, by 5 PM on the polling day, the voter turnout was 58.22%. By 11:30 PM that night, it had increased to 65.02%, and by the next day, November 21, it rose further to 66.05%, reflecting a total increase of 7.83%. This translates to an increase of nearly 7.6 million votes. How did this increase occur? The Election Commission must release video footage of polling booths where the voting percentage surged, questioned Nana Patole, President of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee.

During a meeting of Congress Assembly candidates chaired by Nana Patole at Tilak Bhavan, key leaders such as former minister Balasaheb Thorat, state working president and CWC member Naseem Khan, former ministers K.C. Padavi and Yashomati Thakur, Dr Vishwajeet Kadam, MLA Bhai Jagtap, and state vice president (organization and administration) Nana Gawande were present.

At a subsequent press conference, Nana Patole criticized the Election Commission’s inefficiency, citing discrepancies in the voting data. He argued that given the rise in voter turnout after 5 PM, there should have been extremely long queues at polling stations. The Election Commission must provide evidence of such queues and release CCTV footage from the polling booths. Additionally, he questioned why the Election Commission did not hold a press conference, as is customary, to provide updates after polling.

Experts from various fields across the country have raised doubts about the increased voter turnout. This has cast serious doubts on the credibility of the Election Commission. It is the Commission’s duty to respond to the questions raised by political parties, candidates, and others.

The Congress Party is raising this issue not because of its defeat but to protect democracy and the Constitution. Nana Patole accused the BJP and the Election Commission of colluding to mock democracy. He warned that the Congress Party will fight the issue of voting discrepancies both in courts and on the streets.
